Ana Romero is a doctoral student in the Higher Education and Organizational Change program. Her research interests include access and retention of underrepresented and marginalized student populations and campus climate for students and staff. Ana currently works on a research team with Dr. Kevin Eagan studying the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students and faculty in biomedical fields. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Ana worked in residential life as a Hall Director and an Assistant Director in Arizona and Northern California. Ana holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Sociology from UCLA and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis in Higher Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and exploring hiking trails.
