NEW Infographic on the First-Year College Experience

We often talk about the impact the of the first-year experience on student learning, but we haven’t showed the impact (in a powerfully visual way) until now, with the debut of our new infographic poster that highlights how students are faring during their first year of college.

Drawing upon data from Your First College Year (YFCY) survey, the best tool available assessing first-year programming and retention strategies, the poster illuminates  findings about students’ expectations of college, their adjustment to campus life, their satisfaction with first-year programming and their involvement in academics, both inside and outside of the classroom.

The poster is designed to give colleges and universities a better picture of the needs of first-year students and what can be done to improve programming, the student learning environment and retention strategies.
