Using the CIRP Surveys with SACS: Examples from SAIR Institutions
Monday, September 27, 2010, 3:15 pm to 4:00 pm
Many SAIR institutions use CIRP survey results in the SACS accreditation process. Because CIRP surveys are comprehensive and designed to examine change over time, colleges and universities have found them flexible and useful tools. An important part of the accreditation process is to understand how practices and evidence currently in use on campus can be linked to SACS Core Requirements and Comprehensive Standards. Participation in longitudinal CIRP surveys is also frequently cited as evidence of an institutional commitment to assessment and improvement efforts. This presentation will highlight the process at several different SAIR institutions using CIRP surveys in accreditation.
