Myriad factors impact college choice. Through an examination of merged longitudinal and matched data, participants will explore the connections between college choice information, academic mindsets, satisfaction with college and intent to reenroll. Related topics will include: whether, after the first year of college, college students who attend their first choice are more satisfied than students attending a later choice; how the motivations for student choices affects their college satisfaction; and to what degree satisfaction influences transfer and reenrollment rates. From these discussions, participants will develop solutions to incorporate data analysis in assessing recruitment trends.
