The 2013-14 HERI Faculty Survey Is Now Open
We are excited to announce that registration for the 2013-14 HERI Faculty Survey is now available. The survey will run through May 2, 2014.
We have updated the instrument considerably. We have added an extensive set of teaching and learning items, expanding upon the bank of items currently comprising our student-centered pedagogy construct. Additionally, for the first time, we are introducing modules that institutions can opt into – free of charge – based upon mission, goals, and priorities. Topics include Campus Climate, STEM, Spirituality, Academic Advising, and LGBTQ.
While each institution that participates is free to select the faculty it wishes to sample, the HERI Faculty survey can be administered to all faculty, be they full or part-time faculty, faculty who teach graduate students, or administrators with teaching responsibilities. There are separate sets of questions for part-time faculty and faculty teaching graduate students, designed to provide additional insight into those specific sub-populations, their expectations, and their experiences on campus.
Our website has much more information about the HERI Faculty Survey, including specific changes we have made to the instrument, administration guidelines, and tips for encouraging faculty to participate.
